Project Manager – Insurance Building
Our client, a well-established and growing insurance building and restoration business, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
This position offers the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of insurance, commercial and residential restoration projects, managing works from initial assessment through to successful completion. With a strong focus on quality, customer service and operational efficiency, this role is ideal for a motivated construction professional looking to further develop their career within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of insurance repair, restoration and construction projects from commencement through to completion.
- Coordinate and oversee trades and subcontractors throughout the restoration process following insurable events, as well as commercial and domestic building works.
- Undertake site assessments, scope works, allocate trades and establish project budgets within internal systems.
- Develop project programmes, manage resources and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Liaise closely with clients, insured parties, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional customer outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, maintain timelines and budgets, and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, building codes, industry standards and WHS requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements across project management processes, systems and operational procedures.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess:
- Trade qualifications and a current White Card.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership position within insurance building, construction, restoration or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials and project management principles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management platforms such as Prime, Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A Diploma in Building & Construction or a related discipline (highly regarded).
